THINGS TO DO
Tarifa is the kite surfing mecca of the world - But there's lots to do outside of this.
KITE SURFING
The Liam Whaley Pro Centre, located on our favourite beach of Valdevaqueros is the best in the area for kitesurfing, windsurfing, wind-foiling, and SUP. They offer classes or rental.

SURFING
If surfing is more your thing, there's a nice break at the Arte Vida hotel location half way from Tarifa to Valdevaqueros (10 minute drive). There's a beach bar here attached to a surf rental shop:

DOLPHIN WATCHING
There are a few places in town who offer excursions. In June, you're most likely to see Dolphins and whales as Orcas are usually later in the summer in August. Make sure to ask the offices if they have seen recent sightings but certainly worth the trip.

GOLF
35 minutes from Tarifa in the natural park, there is a lovely resort called Dehesa Montenmedio if you fancy getting a cheeky round in.

HORSE RIDING
Riding on the beach and through the sea is an unforgettable experience. Paco has a group of lovely horses in Bolonia (20 minutes from Tarifa) suitable for any level. He has helmets you can borrow, but remember to wear long trousers and comfy shoes.

SPA
Fancy a spa day? La Residencia is one of our hotel recommendations located near the fishing port and offers loads of different treatments.

FLAMENCO
Head to bar Almedina - This one is a must if you're a fan of flamenco or would like to experience it for the first time. Look out for the day of the week the flamenco will be on (they usually have it popped in the window) - It's a very small and intimate setting so we would recommend getting there early to guarantee a seat.
